I used to think that getting a book deal with a trad publisher was the pinnacle of success. But then I learned of the midlist. Being on it myself, I find this article both informative and a drab glimpse into my own future. Thanks for sharing and raising awareness!

Oh, Lidija - I feel your pain. The best thing we can do as writers is to write the next book. I do think things must change, and that change may come from us as we find different ways to reach readers. Thanks for your comment!

Thank you for sharing about a such disappointing publishing issue. Books going out of print is something I've rarely seen talked about but it must happen a lot. As much as it's not ideal, I hope conversations like this help to open up the topic and figure out solutions. I'll keep an eye out on your progress with getting the rights back and giving it a go on your own.
