Monstrous Heroes
Sometimes heroes are monsters. I don’t mean they necessarily have the outward signs of monstrosity, such as fangs and spiked tails; but their flaws outweigh their strengths – except in this regard:
All protagonists, whether monstrous or likeable, change; all are redeemable; all will sacrifice themselves for the greater good.
